Frequently asked questions
Our project is specifically designed for people whose ideas are on their ascendancy at the moment. These people are not public figures or celebrities per se but have been working on their craft for years, and we believe that if their ideas get implemented to their full glory, they could change the world. So our orators are rebels, non-conformists, and trailblazers. In short, people who believe in pushing the human race forward compared to worrying about how many views their video will get.
Oxford Talks does not charge any licensing fee or percentage from coursesales. We will not take ownership of any content or IP generated via Oxford Class either. We charge a simple payment of £15,000 and it is spent as soon as we get it – on curation, production, venue hire, NFT hosting and spreading your idea on different platforms.
We offer a discounted price for the Non-Profit and Education sectors and can help setup a payment plan. Please get in touch with our finance team at contact@oxfordtalks.io for more information.
We are happy to pay for your one-night accommodation at Courtyard by Marriot in Oxford. Unfortunately, we can not reimburse the cost of the flights.
Not at all. We only use NFTs to boost commerce on Oxford Class content. However, as an educator, you can gamify the course by adding incentives like dinner/coffee with you, 1:1 coaching, tickets to your event etc. which can increase engagement with the learning objectives.
After onboarding, we would need 30 hours of your time spread across 30-45 days to deliver the Oxford Class successfully.
Oxford Talks has all the responsibilities, from identifying and curating the educator to the production of the class and, finally, it's distribution through various LMS platforms. Some important we ask before selecting an Oxford Class educator are:
- Critical Thinking: Can the educator invite people to think critically about a subject? We believe that the best educators are the “primary source” of their respective content. Simply put, they are the artist, not the art critic—the player, not the commentator.
- Life Long Learning: Can the educator excite a group of people to learn more about a subject in a fashion that people are eternally fascinated by and want to learn more about the said topic?
- Community: Does the educator have the ability to create and engage a local or a global audience around their subject?
The maximum duration of the non-edited filming reel can be 5 hours. Educators will be given fully edited copies of their lessons which can also be uploaded directly to their chosen LMS.
Masterclass is our learning partner and provides our educators with tools and techniques to develop a compelling Oxford Class. They help us endorse our commitment to creating communities of lifelong learners and critical thinkers.
Our in-house team of curators will help you with the content and delivery of your Class. You may also be partnered with an expert from the University of Oxford (subject to availability) who can give you an overarching guideline regarding your class subject.
